Enerwhere is a Dubai-based solar company providing innovative solar hybrid solutions for the construction, oil and gas, mining, logistics and manufacturing sectors across the Middle East & Africa.
Our solar systems have been optimized for performance, costs reduction and ease of maintenance over time. If most solar and power electronics technologies have been developed in Europe and America, they need specific design and configuration to adapt the middle East and Africa extreme weather conditions. Enerwhere solar systems are developed in and for the Mena region with strong field expertise.
Our multicultural team blends many fields of expertise from pure solar engineering to diesel and distribution networks, remote monitoring and financing development skills.
Enerwhere was founded in 2012 by a group of investors with a wealth of experience in the Middle East and Africa power segment, who recognized the increasing demand for fuel efficient off-grid / temporary energy solutions. The company initially started operations as Ambata Renewable Resources, until the Enerwhere brand was launched at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in January 2013.
The first pilot system was deployed on a construction site on The World Islands in February 2014, only 6 weeks after contract signature. Enerwhere’s first full-scale 5 MVA solar-diesel hybrid production system was installed a few months later at Saadiyat Accommodation Village (SAV) in Abu Dhabi. The 8,000 man labor camp that was fully powered by Enerwhere for 8 month until grid connection in February 2015.
